The Trasilian race seeks an alliance with the Ertain to escape an overpopulated planet in hopes of finding a new habitable home. Honored by the request, the Ertain develop a ship meeting the unique Trasilian requirements. Disaster ensues, testing the alliance and uncovering a Trasilian secret which changes the nature of the mission. On their own mission, the Torhe wage a war of utter destruction which forces the alliance on a new, dangerous path.
